History of Toei Kanki Co., Ltd.

Company History

1965

May – Toei Kanki Corporation was established in Setagaya, Tokyo, with capital of 5 million yen, to manufacture and sell fittings for rigid PVC pipes.

1966

September – Toei Pipe Fittings Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was established in Seki City, Gifu, under Toei Kanki Corporation, with capital of 3 million yen.

1969

April – Capital was increased to 20 million yen.

1970

April – Capital was increased to 35 million yen.

1971

January – Capital was increased to 48 million yen.

1974

Toei Pipe Fittings Manufacturing Co., Ltd. obtained JIS certification.

1975

November – The company merged with Toei Pipe Fittings Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and adopted the JIS-certified company name. Capital was increased to 250 million yen.

1976

December – The Gifu Factory obtained JIS K 6743 certification for rigid PVC pipes and fittings for water supply.

1977

March – Rigid PVC pipe fittings for water supply were approved by the Japan Water Works Association.

1980

March – The company was registered as a designated inspection facility by the Japan Water Works Association.

1988

October – The company joined the PVC Pipe and Fittings Association.

1990

May – Capital was increased to 300 million yen.

1995

The company was certified by the Japan Sewage Works Association to manufacture sewerage equipment.

1996

May – The company joined the Association of Resin Manholes for Drainage Facilities, now the PVC Pipe Fittings Association.

2000

June – The Gifu Factory obtained ISO 9002:1994 certification.

2003

February – The Gifu Factory obtained ISO 9001:2000 certification.

2009

June – The Gifu Factory obtained ISO 9001:2008 re-certification.

2011

August – The company became a consolidated subsidiary of Gifu Plastic Industry Co., Ltd.

2012

January – The company headquarters was relocated to Gifu City.
March – The Fittings Sales Division of Gifu Plastic Industry Co., Ltd. was integrated, and the Special Demand Department was established within the Sales Headquarters.

2014

September – The Sales Headquarters was relocated to Seki City.

2018

June – The Gifu Factory obtained ISO 9001:2015 re-certification.

2019

April – The company was registered by the Japan Water Works Association as a “C Mark Display Plant” under Registration No. CE-4.
