Honeycomb Core Material Continuous Molding Technology

TECCELL, the Honeycomb Core Born from the World's First Thermoplastic Continuous Molding Technology

Honeycomb core is a collection of hexagonal cells and is considered the most superior sandwich core material in terms of mechanical properties.

The Honeycomb structre, formed by sandwiching this beehive-like assembly with two sheets, has long been recognized for it's exceptional characteristic of high strength, rigidity and lightness. However, due to the complexity of the manufacturing process and limited productivity, it's applications were predominantly confined to advanced industries, with a particular focus on the aerospace sector.

In such a scenario, our company, through a technological collaboration with foreign firms, pioneered the world's first continuous molding technology for honeycomb structure using thermoplastic resins.

TECCELL

TECCELL is a lightweight and strong material with a honeycomb structure. It was developed after establishing the world’s first technology to continuously form a honeycomb structure using thermoplastic resin.
In the past, material with a honeycomb structure was only used in cutting-edge industries owing to its poor productivity. However, with the advent of TECCELL in 2009, such material now has all kinds of applications, and it can contribute to weight reduction and energy saving in all kinds of products.
